Strama & Co., Dazn becomes Bologna Channel. What lies behind the Marotta League syndrome

Voltage drop or low battery? This is the great doubt that emerged at the end of the match won by Inter a short while ago against the possessed Bologna. The ‘challenge of the year‘ at the Wanda Metropolitano against Atletico Madrid will serve as a litmus test to reveal this puzzle, even if at least in my eyes this Inter is very different from the team that played them soundly at Atalanta. However, congratulations to Bologna, the only team in the championship to keep the scoresheet of shots received on target in the second half at zero and the only one that forced Inter to implement that lock so unknown to the philosophy of ‘Demon of Piacenza‘. Definitelyhe rightfully deserves a place in the next Champions League.

I take advantage of this post to regret the match report. Today Strama and his partner have given life to a new chapter of Bologna Channel, and it is not the first time given that any match played by Inter this year is systematically commented on in a ‘partisan way’ by the two commentators. We have now reached almost the 30th day of the championship and in 75% of the matches I have seen on the different pay TVs the script is always the same, even without Stramaccioni & Co.

The media campaign against Inter is obvious, and the press does nothing to hide the antipathy towards Inzaghi, his boys and the Zhang management. But all this has a very clear explanation and for those who deal with communications like myself, they know very well that by now you have to go against the trend, publish inappropriate quotes and polemical ‘tweets’ to go viralto be invited to the most popular programs and earn a little extra money with attendance fees, interactions on social networks and contributing to greater audience of TV channels.

I can’t imagine what these ‘corporate people’ with suits and ties will comment in the event of Inter’s defeat in the Champions League, an eventuality that is anything but impossible by virtue of the absolute value and international experience of the Atleti del Cholo.

To all Inter fans and to those who love watching football in front of a classic or mobile screen, my dispassionate advice is to turn off the audio to avoid being infected by the ‘Marotta League’a term cool, cool, ironic but clearly out of place to describe the path taken by Inter in these 3/4 of the season. This is not the case in the last two matches, but in recent years we have never seen a team play football so well.

Last note, congratulations to Barella for his intellectual honesty regarding the unfortunate episode in Genoa, these things are good for football.
