In 2022, the news was issued that the official headquarters for the Games would be in Bolivia. For their part, the Mayor of Sucre, Enrique Leaño and the President of ODEBO (Bolivarian Sports Organization), Baltazar Medina, also spoke out on the matter and guaranteed the realization of this sports scenario with all the guarantees of quality and infrastructure for good performance. of athletes.
At that time, the possibility was opened for the National Olympic Committees to confirm the 25 sports that would participate in the Games and the flag bearers of each country. To date, these are some of the disciplines that will be part of the competitions: athletics, handball, basketball, cycling, badminton, baseball, boxing, swimming, artistic gymnastics, judo, tennis, volleyball, archery, fencing, squash, among others.

The Colombian delegation heading to the 2024 Bolivarian Youth Games
The group of Colombian flag bearers will be made up of 164 athletes and 34 coaches, who will participate in more than 15 sports disciplines and will go in search of gold in each challenge of the Sucre 2024 Games.
According to statements from the Ministry of Sports, they will provide support of 2,579 million pesos to make this sporting dream come true for all registered young people who are between 14 and 20 years old. This will become the opportunity for many to debut in a powerful international tournament, a path of triumph for the new generations who want to conquer an entire country.
Classifications of some sports disciplines in Colombia

One of the disciplines that has already announced the list of Colombians who will represent the country is athletics, which brought together 32 athletes who will compete between on April 11 and 14 at the Patria Olympic Stadium in Sucre, as announced by the Games schedule.
Paola Andrea Loboa Lastre, Juan Sebastión Scarpetta Rojas, Laura Valentina Camargo and Ruby Dayanna García, will compete in the athletics events and will close their time in Bolivia with a flourish, with the 4×400 meter mixed relay.
