The road to CAN 2025 begins. The eight lowest placed selections in the Fifa rankings – Somalia, Eswatini, Djibouti, Liberia, Chad, Mauritius, Sao Tome and Principe and South Sudan – will meet in a preliminary round from Wednesday March 20 to make part of the 48 teams who will compete in the CAN qualifiers.
The four winning teams will join the qualifiers in which 48 nations will be engaged to secure their place for the CAN in Morocco in the summer of 2025.
