The Shocking Rise of Cheating in Call of Duty: Joe Rogan’s Reaction

Even Joe Rogan can’t believe how uncontrolled cheating in Call of Duty has become compared to when he was an avid gamer. World-famous podcast host and UFC commentator Joe Rogan was stunned when he saw the lengths players will go to cheat in Warzone.

On the March 1 episode of The Joe Rogan Experience, the former Fear Factor host spoke with comedian Dan Soder about Call of Duty and how players get upset when campers and snipers dominate the games.

Joe Rogan stunned by modern Call of Duty cheaters

“You get upset about snipers in a war? Shut up, it’s part of the war. Snipers and fraud,” he joked, before turning his full attention to hackers. According to Rogan, cheating was a big problem when he was still playing, but he had no idea it had gotten this bad.

“There are bots. People had these aim bots that never missed. They kill you and every time they kill you they got fully armored. They had all the guns and knew exactly where you were and they kill you all the time, over and over again,” he ranted. The cheaters used to get eliminated at some point, but they always came back and made the JRE moderator angry. The two also watched footage of active cheaters and the two were surprised by the gameplay shown on the screen.

Joe Rogan had no idea how widespread cheaters had become

Joe and Dan found that some people even sign up for a monthly subscription to a cheat provider that gives them access to a variety of aimbots, wall hacks, and other nefarious tools. “That makes me angry,” Soder admitted. “These are all cheats?!” Joe gasped. “That’s crazy. How can we prevent this?” Unfortunately for the CoD community, it seems like not even Activision has this figured out. Only recently cheaters found a way to completely bypass RICOCHET’s anti-cheat.

Nadeshot even went so far as to advocate requiring ID to play Call of Duty and jail sentences for anyone caught cheating in online games. At the same time, all publishers could engage in more active psychological warfare against the cheaters, at the moment they are far too inactive, waves of bans come every now and then, but these do not have any lasting consequences. Infiltrating cheating circles undercover is extremely easy and if a publisher were to actively do this, you could easily unsettle the customers of the cheat manufacturers and thus ruin their business.
