The last sprint race of the 2023-2024 Cross-Country Skiing World Cup takes place. We compete in classic technique in Falun: today 58 women and 79 men battle for the last time on the shortest distance on the calendar.
Four Italians are at the start in the latter context, while only Nicole Monsorno is on stage in the women’s context. The fate of the two World Cups will be decided this weekend. Harald Oestberg Amundsen, to defend himself from Klaebo’s return, must reach 2604 points, i.e. gaining 189 in the last races. On the other hand, in the women’s Jessie Diggins has 102 points over Linn Svahn: a USA-Sweden duel that seems a little more uncertain for various reasons, and which could indeed drag on until the last race.
