For his part, Eliott Comeyne had the perfect competition. After winning his first four fights by ippon, he played the final against a strong right-hander. The young hopeful took a waza ari and was manhandled on the ground, but Eliott in turn gave his opponent a waza ari then a second, synonymous with victory. Eliott finishes 1st and is qualified for the French championship.
