[영동=뉴시스] Reporter Ahn Seong-su = An organization in Yeongdong-gun, North Chungcheong Province, is helping to promote the ‘2025 Yeongdong World Korean Music Expo’.
According to the county on the 21st, local performing arts troupes, elementary school Korean traditional music orchestras, and athletics departments will promote the successful hosting of the World Korean Music Expo.
Cho Hee-yeol’s art troupe, who is active in the region, will perform every Saturday until October at the outdoor performance hall of the Korean traditional music experience village in Simcheon-myeon, Yeongdong-gun to pray for the success of the expo. A variety of performances were prepared, including traditional Korean music, popular songs, fusion Nanta, saxophone performance, and poetry recitation.
Haeulsori, the Korean traditional music orchestra of Yeongdong Elementary School, will also perform on the stage of the Nangye Korean Traditional Orchestra’s New Year’s Concert held at the Yeongdong-gun Culture and Arts Center on the 28th to make the World Korean Music Expo a success. We plan to continue promoting it through regular concerts.
The county office’s women’s wrestling team, badminton team, and track and field team will participate in national competitions wearing the 2025 Yeongdong World Korean Music Expo uniforms produced this year.
A military official said, “Yeongdong residents who are active in various fields are dreaming of successfully hosting the 2025 Yeongdong World Korean Music Expo with one heart and one mind,” adding, “The Expo will become a stepping stone for Yeongdong to leap forward beyond Korea and into the world.”
The 2025 Yeongdong World Korean Traditional Music Expo will be held in the Rainbow Healing Tourist Site for one month from September 12 to October 11, 2025, under the theme of ‘Future culture through Korean traditional music, healed with hope.’
