1,500 students to be relocated this summer during the Games

The Minister of Sports and the Olympic and Paralympic Games (JOP), Amélie Oudéa-Castéra declared before the deputies, Tuesday April 9, that “1,500 students expressed the need for a new room” this summer, during the JOP period, when the government wants to requisition 3,000 places in student residences to accommodate firefighters, caregivers, civil security force personnel, etc. “No one will be left without alternative housing,” added the minister, specifying that ” the other half “ of students affected by these 3,000 requisitions “will vacate their rooms as is the case every summer”. “We support those who need rehousing”, she also assured, “and we invite them to the Olympic and Paralympic Games.”
