The ‘2024 National Sports Festival (hereinafter referred to as the Grand Festival)’, the largest festival for sports enthusiasts across the country, will be held in Ulsan from the 25th to the 28th.

This grand festival will feature matches in 41 sports in 60 stadiums, and over 20,000 sports enthusiasts from 17 cities and provinces across the country will attend. Including family members, spectators, etc., a total of 60,000 people are expected to enjoy the festival, including the games and the opening ceremony. In particular, 156 Japanese sports enthusiasts will also participate to promote exchange between Korea and Japan. They will participate in 9 sports, including badminton and basketball, and have time to promote friendship and exchange sports with Korean club members.

The opening ceremony marking the start of the four-day journey will be held at Ulsan Sports Complex at 5:30 pm on the 26th. In line with the production direction of ‘Sports Day at Ulsan Spring Picnic’, mats and tents were placed on the wide green lawn of the sports complex, creating an atmosphere where sports enthusiasts from all over the country can enjoy a spring picnic together. Ulsan City is providing real-time simultaneous interpretation for the first time at the opening ceremony of the grand festival to help Japanese sports enthusiasts who participated for Korea-Japan recreational sports exchange.
