attacker returns to the starting line-up after injuries

Ajax will probably return to the starting line-up, it writes Algemeen Dagblad. The attacker was unable to play in recent matches due to an injury, but is now fit enough to start.

John van ‘t Schip announced at the press conference on Friday that Brobbey is fit enough to start the match against FC Twente in Amsterdam. The Ajax striker missed the matches against PEC Zwolle and Go Ahead Eagles due to a hamstring injury. Last week he was on the bench during a visit to De Kuip, but the attacker did not get any minutes. With Brobbey starting, Mika Godts will probably take a seat on the bench.

In the rest of the line-up, Van ‘t Schip will probably stick to the same names as in the punishment against Feyenoord. The newspaper expects that the coach will opt for a formation with four men at the back. That would mean Jorrel Hato will play on the left side of defence, while Kenneth Taylor will join Sivert Mannsverk and Benjamin Tahirovic in midfield.

Van ‘t Schip will still not be able to call on Steven Berghuis and Jordan Henderson on Sunday. The trainer announced on Friday that the Englishman will rejoin the selection after the weekend. Berghuis seemed to be on the way back a few weeks ago, but according to his trainer, his back and knee are still ailing.

Probable line-up Ajax: roll; Gaaei, Rensch, Kaplan, Hato; Taylor, Tahirovic, Mannsverk; Hlynsson, Bergwijn; Brobbey.

Probable line-up FC Twente: Unnerstall; Sampsted, Hilgers, Pröpper, Smal; Kjølø, Sadílek, Steijn; Rock, Van Wolfswinkel, Vlap.
