The fifth week of 2024 of professional tennis continues in Santa Margherita di Pula, in Sardinia, stage of an ITF combined event, with two tournaments – the men’s one with 25 thousand dollars in prize money, the women’s one with 35 thousand dollars in prize money – which are being played on the red clay courts of Forte Village.
In the men’s tournament there were 11 Italians in the second round: a Federico Iannacconeninth seed, and Luigi Sorrentino, they have in fact been added Andrea Picchione, eighth seed, Fausto Tabacco, Samuele Pieri, Luca Potenza, the qualified Marco Furlanetto, Pietro Marino, Andrea Bolla, Gabriele Maria Noce e la wild card Gabriele Piraino.
In the women’s tournament they beat the debut of Tatiana Pieri and la wild card Viola Turini: immediately out, however, Federica Bilardo and the wild card Elena Covi.
First round match on Wednesday for the other 8 Italian players in the draw: they are Dalila Spiteri, sixth seed, Lisa Pigato, eighth seed, Aurora Zantedeschi, the wild cards Matilde Paoletti and Francesca Covi and the qualifiers Martina Spigarelli, Federica Di Sarra and Arianna Zucchini.
