Controversial TV Moment: Láďa Hruška’s Viral Live Entry and the Czech Republic’s Reaction

More than ten years ago, a part of a live entry for Prima TV, in which reporter Láďa Hruška allegedly “crossed out” in the word “výšupat”, went viral on the internet. However, not all people in the Czech Republic were outraged by this editorial performance. In some places in the republic, “chick” is commonly used on Easter. Watch the new episode of Backwards.

Even though the video immediately spread on social networks, some didn’t stop at all over the rebuttal. “Here in Moravia, everyone laughs at me. But it was common to go out in the Krkonoše Mountains and probably also in Pardubice. Even when we were little, we used to go out on Easter,” wrote Václav Jiran, for example, on the social network X (formerly Twitter).
