Criticism against Indonesian National Team Coach Shin Tae-yong for Use of Naturalized Players

tvOnenews.com – The Indonesian national team coach, Shin Tae-yong, received criticism and sarcasm from his compatriot from South Korea, Jong Song-chon.

The former coach of the South Korean U-20 women’s national team quipped that Shin Tae-yong used many naturalized players in the Indonesian national team.

It is recorded that there are 11 hereditary players who are currently strengthening the Indonesian national team, including Ragnar Oratmangoen, Justin Hubner, and Jay Idzes.

The number of hereditary players in the Garuda squad has the potential to increase because PSSI confirmed that it is approaching two people to become naturalized.

Apart from that, there is also the name Maarten Paes who is currently processing the naturalization process but has run into FIFA regulations because he played for the Dutch U-21 national team.

The large number of hereditary players in the Indonesian national team made Jong Song-chon insinuate Shin Tae-yong as a coach.
