“DEMODAY” will be held to announce the results of the acceleration program “SPORTS OPEN INNOVATION BUSINESS BUILD”, which is being implemented in three regions nationwide as part of the “Sports Open Innovation Promotion Project (formation of advanced examples of regional SOIP*)” sponsored by the Japan Sports Agency. The winning projects for each award have been decided.
Three teams from the Tohoku region took the stage, and the Akita Northern Happinets (Akita Prefecture) won the top prize.

The Tohoku Bureau of Economy, Trade and Industry is working as a regional supporter in the Japan Sports Agency’s “Sports Open Innovation Promotion Project (formation of advanced examples of regional SOIP)” with the aim of creating new business and services through “sports x related industries” (sports open innovation). , is participating.
This year, we are promoting sports open innovation promotion projects in three regions nationwide: Tohoku, Kanto, and Kyushu.In the Tohoku region, three teams, Akita Northern Happinets, Montedio Yamagata, and Sendai 89ERS, are co-creating projects that match each recruitment theme. We carry out projects after matching with companies.
On March 21, 2024 (Thursday), after the results were announced and judged by each project in the three regions, the Grand Prize, Special Jury Award, and Audience Award were decided from a total of 10 projects. Akita, which participated from the Tohoku region, Northern Happinets’ project won the grand prize.
