“Dear, you advertise the promotional items so much. Now I have been to Kruidvat every day, and yes, as usual, there is nothing,” writes a customer on Kruidvat’s Facebook page. The cashier told her that the item had been restocked in the morning, but must have sold out.
“It’s the same song with every promotion, it’s always gone. I think this is a shame,” the customer continues. “Your promotional items are a lure. In fact, you are losing me. Instead of doing your best to have promotional products in the store.”
The woman ended her message kindly but firmly: “Kind regards, from a very dissatisfied customer.” Kruidvat’s customer service quickly responded: “What a pity that the desired items have sold out so quickly. I can imagine that that is disappointing.”
Popular products sell out quickly
“We always do our best to accurately estimate our promotional stock, but sometimes certain products are extremely popular and sell out faster than expected. Fortunately, we regularly have great offers. Hopefully you can take advantage of this next time.”
That was not the end of the matter for the dissatisfied customer. She responded: “Thank you for your answer, but, as is often the case, this does not solve the problem.”
