Dolezal new sporting director of the Vienna Capitals

The Vienna Capitals are undergoing a comprehensive change. As the Vienna ice hockey club announced on Friday, Christian Dolezal will be the new sporting director of the two-time champion.

In the future, the 38-year-old Viennese will be responsible for the entire spectrum, from the young talent to the academy to the professional squad, and will reorganize the capital club. Franz Kalla is ending his role as general manager after 16 years. The 57-year-old advises the Capitals as vice president.

Dolezal took over as interim coach for the Viennese team, who missed the win2day ICE Hockey League play-offs this year in eleventh place, as interim coach during the season. He should now look for a new head coach. The position of club president is also vacant at the Capitals following the resignation of Hans Schmid.
