Dynamo Dresden fired coach Markus Beginning after the 2-0 defeat against Viktoria Köln.
Assistant coach Heiko Scholz, U19 coach Willi Weiße and idol Ulf Kirsten, who works as a sporting advisor at the club, will take over on an interim basis until the end of the season.

Managing director David Fischer: “We have come to the realization that the quality of the team has become increasingly rare over the course of the season. Because of this, we have now decided to take this step in order to provide an impetus in the last few games.”

When Cologne took the lead out of nowhere through Handle (67th) in the middle of Dresden’s pressure phase, it was back to 180. And this time rightly so!
Because Zimmerschied is clearly fouled in front of the goal. But referee Dr. Max Burda lets the game continue. It all just comes together.
In the end, time is running out mercilessly for the people of Dresden – and with it the promotion they had hoped for. And despite all the trouble, one thing remains clear: That’s simply far too little for the 2nd league!
