At the end of February, Stefan Trost finally stowed his ice hockey equipment for this season in the basement. After the semi-final defeat against the eventual third division champions Kapfenberg (with brother Manuel), the ATSE player was able to focus entirely on his new task. Since the beginning of the year, the Langenwanger has looked after and accompanied Austria’s tennis number one Sebastian Ofner as a physiotherapist on the ATP tour. The collaboration was initiated by Ofner’s touring coach Steve Rettl, at whose tennis academies in Kindberg and Bruck Trost has been employed since the end of 2022. “I met Ofi and treated him for the first time after his heel operation,” says Trost, who, despite being only 27 years old, has already had a few different stages in his CV.
