From Vivaldi to Queen: Eclectic Concert Coming to Villanueva de la Torre City Hall This Saturday

The Villanueva de la Torre City Council has scheduled an original and eclectic concert for this Saturday, specifically the show ‘Music in spring: from Vivaldi to Queen through the Beatles’. The concert, which will be performed by the Orfeo Chamber Orchestra, will take place starting at 8 p.m. in the City Hall assembly hall, with free entry until capacity is reached.

In this unusual and unusual concert there will be a musical journey from Baroque music to the greatest hits of international pop-rock, including a selection of music from the legendary group the Beatles. It is an innovative bet where the public will be able to hear the beauty of baroque music by composers such as Johann Sebastian Bach or Antonio Vivaldi, for example; and then you will enjoy a selection of legendary Beatles songs (‘Let it be’, ‘All you need is love’, ‘Yesterday’ or ‘Help’, to name just a few). Finally, the orchestra will perform groundbreaking versions of several international pop-rock hits by groups such as Queen, Michael Jackson and Coldplay.

‘Music in spring: from Vivaldi to Queen to the Beatles’ will be performed by the Orfeo Chamber Orchestra. The group, based in Ciudad Real, is made up of teachers from different conservatories and orchestras in the country. It was founded in 1995 by Manuel Briega, its current concertmaster-director. Since its founding it has performed concerts inside and outside our geography.

The show is part of the programming of the Network of Performing and Musical Arts of Castilla-La Mancha, of which the Villanueva de la Torre City Council is a part as a programming entity, and is part of the spring cultural offer of the Consistory.
