Hamilton grumpy: “Don’t you have better questions?”

Lewis Hamilton had a disappointing Japanese Grand Prix today. The British seven-time world champion did cross the finish line, but that was only in ninth place. Afterwards he reacted grumpily when asked about his upcoming switch to Ferrari.

Hamilton really hoped to score in Japan this weekend. After free practice and qualifying he was positive and felt good in the car. However, he had a hard time again in the race and decided to let his teammate George Russell pass. Hamilton was disappointed, because ninth place was obviously not the result he had hoped for. The seven-time world champion was extremely disappointed.

Afterwards he was not the bright spot in the house. He reported to the international media and was asked whether he is a little jealous of Ferrari and whether he is looking forward to 2025. After a hesitant answer, he did not feel like the follow-up question: “Don’t you have any better questions for me?” Hamilton then walked away and expressed disappointment to Sky Sports: “I don’t know how a different strategy would have turned out, for example we could have also started the restart on mediums. We still had two very bad stints on the hard tires .”
