Impressive Start for Arc-Club of Manduel Women in Outdoor Archery Season

The women of the Arc-club of Manduel are particularly in good shape at the start of the outdoor season, distinguishing themselves last weekend in the regional and international stages. Deprived of their international, Mélina Tacussel, selected in the Junior cup in Bulgaria, the Girls’ Regional Excellence division team made a successful return to the championship by winning the first event in Pamiers (Ariège).

Made up of Clara Fortin-Boismard, Océane Joussein and Jade Charlot, the Manduello team took the lead in qualifying. Despite unfavorable shooting conditions, wind and cold, they were able to manage the difficulties to dominate their opponents at the end of the morning’s shooting.

The resumption of the final stages was a little more complicated. They still imposed themselves on their opponents. Gaining strength over the matches, they beat Auch (Gers) in the final.

Manduel is on track to retain her title. The club will have to confirm during the next event in Rodez (Aveyron) in May with a full team.

For her part, Mélina Tacussel had a great competition for the Junior Cup which took place in Sofia. She improved her personal best with 665 points to take the lead in the individual qualifications.

Associated with Mila Fremery and Siham Er Rahmouni in the French team, she broke the European team record in U18 girls. Building on their momentum, the team won the competition with mastered matches allowing Mélina Tacussel to win her first international medal. Individually, she was eliminated in a shoot-off at the round of 16 stage by an Italian.
