I made my name known.

Kim Tae-hyun and Lee Min-jae, who participated in the first-year men’s doubles competition, won the championship, while Park Seo-jun and Han Hyun-woo took third place. They also reached the quarterfinals in the team event, defeating strong players across the country.

The Jeong High School badminton team was founded last year with the full support of the city, creating an environment where excellent players can exercise to their heart’s content. As a result, it is being reborn as an elite school for nurturing excellent badminton at the national level, with players from other regions also advancing.

In addition, by participating in various competitions and achieving excellent results, they were selected to the national badminton junior team (Kim Yun-hoo, Choi Jae-sang), and are evaluated as exemplary examples of the city’s sports talent development support project.

Mayor Lee Hak-soo said, “The fact that the Jeongju High School badminton team has achieved excellent results in only two years since its founding and is being reborn as a national-level badminton training school is a shining result of the Jeongju High School team’s hard training and passion for badminton,” adding, “We will continue to be among the badminton elite.” “We will continue to cooperate with the administration and the school to foster players and strive to maintain interest and support,” he said.
