The McGregor Panthers and Pain Court Patriotes each won two finals at the LKSSAA South senior badminton tournament Tuesday at St. Clair College’s Chatham Campus HealthPlex.

The top six in each division qualified for the LKSSAA championship Tuesday, April 16, in Sarnia at Saint-Francois-Xavier secondary school.

McGregor’s Maddux Beuckelare defeated Pain Court’s Owen Caron in the boys’ singles final.
Pain Court’s Claire Desaulniers beat Ursuline’s Avery Sheppy in the girls’ singles final.
McGregor’s Ryan O’Donohue and Jayde McGahan won the girls’ doubles final over Chatham-Kent’s Lindsay St. Germain and Jeanette Legere.
Pain Court’s Colin St. Pierre and Travis Caron won the boys’ doubles final over Chatham Christian’s Zach Hoogstad and Jerry Zomerman.
Ursuline’s Sam Lozon and Jack Countryman beat Chatham-Kent’s Hudson DeNure and Justin Ewald in the mixed doubles final.

Ursuline’s Adam Vsetula was third in boys’ singles, Ursuline’s Brock Mailloux fourth, Chatham-Kent’s Hamza Tahir fifth and Lambton-Kent’s Tanner Grubb sixth.
Lambton-Kent’s Madelyn Metcalf was third in girls’ singles, Chatham Christian’s Grace Woelke fourth, Wallaceburg’s Megan Burritt fifth and Chatham-Kent’s Jamie Wu sixth.
Ursuline’s Julia Cap and Victoria Cap were third in girls’ doubles, McGregor’s Kate Thompson and Harleigh LoPresti fourth, Pain Court’s Avery L’Ecuyer and Mikella Caron fifth, and Pain Court’s Mackenzie Pilon and Ava St. Pierre sixth.
Pain Court’s Everett Ellis and Alexandre Aitken were third in boys’ doubles, Ursuline’s Lucas Teron and Kohen Cudney fourth, Chatham-Kent’s Jamie Woodrow and Jeffrey Dulong fifth, and Wallaceburg’s Dracen Campbell and Nash Grealis sixth.
Pain Court’s Janelle Labonte and Gavin Stonefish were third in mixed doubles, Ursuline’s Aiden Arnold and Gabby Sheppy fourth, Chatham-Kent’s Jessica Lin and Curtis Moco fifth, and Ridgetown’s Savana Smith and Colton Noah sixth.
The LKSSAA South junior qualifier is Thursday at the HealthPlex starting at 9 a.m. The LKSSAA junior championship will be Thursday, April 18, at the HealthPlex and Ursuline College Chatham.
