NBA Broadcasting Rights: Amazon to Air Regular Season and Playoffs, Disney Retains NBA Finals Coverage

If the NBA is in full swing with the playoffs which have started, managers are busy behind the scenes to negotiate broadcasting rights since the previous contract, established in 2014 over ten years, is coming to an end. The Athletic explains that Amazon would have concluded an agreement with the Great League to be able to broadcast the regular season and the playoffs.

The NBA Finals still on ESPN?

For its part, Disney, via ESPN-ABC, would retain the broadcast rights to the NBA Finals, announces the Puck site. These two contracts would have a duration of ten years, like the previous one which brought in 2.6 billion dollars per year. Regarding the third batch, Warner Bros. Discovery is in pole position to maintain its rights, with 80 matches broadcast instead of 100, but still faces competition from NBC.
