Pericos defeat Diablos Rojos by the minimum

With a five-run attack in the bottom of the ninth inning, the Pericos de Puebla came from behind and left the Diablos Rojos of Mexico on the field by beating them by a score of 10-9, in the third and last game of the ‘Baja Series’ held in La Paz, Baja California.

The Red Devils entered the final chapter with a 9-5 lead, which they built after opening the scoring in the second round with a home run by José Pirela (1-0). In the third a double by Julián Ornelas sent the score to 2-0 at the plate with the spikes of Carlos Sepúlveda.

In the fifth roll the Pericos turned it around 5-2 but the Reds reacted in the sixth by turning things around, going up 7-5 with an attack crowned by a double from José Rondón. In the seventh one more score came from the Scarlets (8-5) and 9-5 was written in the eighth. Then came the final attack of the Pericos in their last appearance at bat.

Now, the Red Devils of Mexico will return to CDMX this Tuesday to start their participation in the ‘Interleague Tournament’, where they will debut against the Guerreros de Oaxaca at the Alfredo Harp Helú Stadium starting at 7 p.m.
