PSG-Lyon (4-1): Bradley Barcola, there again

They found nothing better for “the party at Marqui”, for this evening of tribute to the new record holder for the number of matches played in the PSG jersey (438), than to go on the offensive.

To better allow, perhaps, their captain to keep energy for the post-match celebrations, to also put the supporters, the leaders and all of Paname in a good mood and to announce, exclusively, at the Brazilian defender, which was going to be reserved for him at the final whistle, the Parisian attack decided to go into fireworks mode, this Sunday, April 21 during the victory against Lyon (4-1), before the show reserved for his captain.

Five days after the feat achieved by Paris on the Barcelona pitch and this historic qualification won in the quarter-final of the Champions League (1-4), it is once again one of its masters of ceremonies, in occurrence Bradley Barcola, who played the conductor at the heart of this all-out Parisian attack.

He panicked the left side

The only “offensive survivor” of Tuesday evening’s “revanchada” against Barça, Ousmane Dembélé and Kylian Mbappé having been kept on the bench, it is the youngest and least experienced member of the offensive trio, 21 years old, who is still came the spark. He who, in Spain, had caused the expulsion of Araujo and offered a decisive pass to Ousmane Dembélé, once again triggered the operations against OL.

All the spectators were not yet seated when the former Gone had already panicked his left side, cleverly serving Marco Asensio and seeing the Spaniard’s shot deflected by Matic into the OL goal (3rd). Barely time to breathe when, with a deflection of the header at the near post, number 29 offered a caviar to Lucas Beraldo who only had to crucify Lopes at point blank range (6th).

Without complexes with the ball

Hard-hitting, provocative and above all uncomplicated with the ball, the international hopefuls brought a breath of energy to this joyful Parisian squad. His cross shot, blocked by Lopes (13th), his oriented control before serving Kolo Muani at the entrance to the area (18th) say a lot about the influence of the man who was at the origin of all the major differences achieved by Paris this evening.

It’s no coincidence that his deviation, perfectly felt by Hakimi, saw the Moroccan offer the third Parisian goal to Gonçalo Ramos shortly after the half-hour mark (32nd). With a little more success, the Lyon native could even have scored his fourth goal of the season, his third in Ligue 1, if, following a serve from Hakimi, his shot had not been returned by Lopes’ post (34th).

A major performance greeted, upon returning from the locker room, by the Auteuil stand who did not hesitate to chant his name, undoubtedly to pay tribute to his last two matches, to also calm down a little this OL that he had left ‘last summer. Before the meeting, Lyon was in fact the only Ligue 1 club to have scored more points (25) than Paris in 2024. A trend which was reversed this Sunday (now 26 for PSG), in particular thanks to Bradley Barcola. There is no doubt that this did not escape Didier Deschamps and Guy Stéphan who were following the match in front of their television.
