Rafael Struick has signed a new contract for one year with ADO Den Haag ahead of his appearance at 2024 U-23 Asian Cup.

Struick’s contract extension was announced on the club’s official website. With this contract extension, Struick will stay for another season or until June 2025 with the second caste club in the Dutch League.

Apart from extending Struick’s contract, ADO Den Haag also extended the contracts of two other players, namely Silvinho Esajas and Finn de Bruin.

“ADO Den Haag has informed three players that their options are being exercised. Rafael Struick, Silvinho Esajas and Finn de Bruin will remain tied to the club for longer,” wrote the club’s official statement.

“Struick signed his first two-year contract in 2022 with the option of another year in The Hague. Esajas arrived from Hellas Verona Italy in 2020 and extended his contract for two seasons in 2022 with the option of one more year,” added the official statement.

ADO Den Haag’s decision means Struick can fully focus on the match in the 2024 U-23 Asian Cup. The 21 year old player will be Shin Tae Yong’s mainstay on the front lines.

It is hoped that Struick’s goals will flow in the 2024 U-23 Asian Cup from April 15 to May 3. Although, Struick has not actually been able to score a goal with the Indonesian National Team.

Struick is one of two naturalized players that Shin Tae Yong will rely on in the U-23 Indonesian National Team. Another player who has also joined is Jong Utrecht player, Ivar Jenner.
