SARONNO – The Serie C baseball season begins today, Saronno is also at the starting line, bidding for the top positions in the rankings. This afternoon at 3pm the debut will be on the field of the Bovisio Buffaloes of Bovisio Masciago. The second round of the regular season will be at home, on May 5th at 3pm against the Athletics of Novara.
The calendar
The competitive year for the people of Saronno will therefore continue on 12 May with Saronno-Malnate Vikings, on 19 May Kemind Legnano-Saronno will be played, on 2 June Vercelli-Saronno, on 9 June Saronno-Bergamo Walls, while on 16 June the return rounds with reversed fields.
The coach
For Saronno a new coach, presented already last November: the Venezuelan Wilmer “Willy” Pino. Speaking about his new team, Pino referred to “a young group with a great desire to grow both as athletes and as human beings like Serie C baseball is very stimulating for me. The idea is to be competitive and that every match is one more step towards achieving our team goals.”
