Schafzahl strengthens Austria’s women at the World Cup

Good news for Austria’s ice hockey women: Theresa Schafzahl, red-white-red figurehead in the North American professional league PWHL, will be the ÖEHV selection at the home B World Cup (Division IA) from April 21st to 27th in Klagenfurt strengthen in the fight for promotion to the top division for the first time. As the local association announced on Monday, the 23-year-old Styrian received approval from her club Boston.

The two test matches against Hungary on April 12th and 13th will take place without sheep numbers, and the striker will join coach Alexander Bröms’ team shortly before the start of the World Cup. In the final round, Austria will face Hungary, France, Norway, South Korea and the Netherlands, with the top two teams making it through.
