Seongnam City held the ’14th Gyeonggi-do Disabled Sports Competition Athlete Decision Ceremony’ at the multi-purpose gymnasium on the first floor of Seongnam Sports Center (Seongnam-dong, Jungwon-gu) at 4 p.m. on the 22nd.

On this day, the decision ceremony was attended by “Seongnam Mayor Shin Sang-jin and 301 players” (50 executives, 35 coaches, 32 guardians, and 184 players), and the oath of the players’ representative, delivery of the players’ short-term flag, and performance of determination to win were held.

These athletes will participate in 16 sports held at the main stadium of Paju Stadium for three days from the 25th to the 27th.

The goal is to win the overall championship for two consecutive years following last year.

Among the participating players are table tennis players Ji-yu Yoon and Lee Kyung-hoon, badminton players Park Min-jae, and swimming players Jeong Tae-hyun, who are among the favorites to win medals.

Seongnam Mayor Shin Sang-jin said, “I look forward to the performance of the disabled athletes,” and added, “I ask that we all work together to ensure that the game can be played without accidents or injuries.”
