The judge summons Rubiales on April 29 to declare that he is being investigated for the RFEF contracts

The mystery has been resolved this Tuesday, and it will be next April 29, Monday, when the former president of the Spanish Federation, Luis Rubiales, came to give a statement, as an investigator, before the chief judge of the Investigative Court number 4 of Majadahonda, Delia Rodrigo. The summons has also been made public, this time as a witness, of Pedro Rochauntil last Wednesday president of the Management Committee who had replaced Rubiales when he was disqualified by FIFA at the end of August.

Rubiales returned to Spain last Wednesday, and that day he was received by agents of the Central Operational Unit (UCO) of the Civil Guard, who took him to the unit’s offices at the Madrid Airport, where he landed from the Dominican Republic. There they informed him of his status as an investigator and, after refusing to give a statement, he was released.

Rubiales is being investigated by the alleged crimes of business corruption, unfair administration, money laundering and membership in a criminal organizationas stated in the summary, which EL MUNDO has had access to.

The Civil Guard maintains that the former president of the RFEF diverted at least 3.8 million euros to the construction company Gruconsa and to the company that operates the La Cartuja stadium in Seville between the years 2020 and 2022. He adds that this company, then, transferred part of the money to a company controlled by a close friend and partner of Luis Rubiales, Francisco Javier Martín Alcaide, alias Nene, under the name of Dismatec. Finally, investigators have proven that Rubiales himself has been receiving funds from his friend’s companies in the form of “profits.”

After the searches carried out at his home and at the headquarters of the Federation on March 20, and once all the documentation had been analyzed by the UCO, the judge has set a date for the former president’s expected statement.
