Women’s Six Nations tournament: find the composition of the Blue before the match against Wales

Les Bleues can claim a fourth victory this Sunday (4:15 p.m.), and offer themselves a final against England the following weekend. Facing Wales, in Cardiff, the French XV will play their penultimate match of the Women’s Six Nations Tournament. Some changes should take place in the starting lineup.

Anne-Cécile Ciofani, 30 years old, will honor her very first selection. The silver medalist in rugby sevens at the Tokyo 2021 Olympic Games will start the meeting with two other of her partners from the French sevens team: Joanna Grisez and Gabrielle Vernier. They returned at the beginning of April from a tournament in Hong Kong.

Madoussou Fall, although very prominent since the start of the Tournament, will start the match on the bench just like the former captain of the Bleues, Gaëlle Hermet. Marine Ménager and Nassira Konde were left to rest after the concussions they suffered during the last match.

France currently ranks second in the Tournament, with six victories, like England. On the last day, the Blue easily defeated Italy (38-15). They had beaten Scotland (15-5) and Ireland (38-17) earlier in the competition.

The composition of the French XV against Wales:

Boulard – Grisez, Jacquet, Vernier, Ciofani – Queyroi, Bourdon Sansus – Gros, T. Feleu, Ménager – Escudero, M. Feleu (captain) – Khalfaoui, Sochat, Deshaye.

Substitutes: Riffonneau, Mwayembe, Joyeux, Fall, Hermet, Chambon, Tuy, Bourgeois.
