A judicial investigation opened after the incidents between OL and PSG supporters

In a press release published this Monday afternoon, after two days of silence, the Arras public prosecutor’s office, based on the facts, announced that it had opened a flagrant investigation for “aggravated destruction of the property of others by fire”, ” degradation in meetings” and “violence in meetings”.

“The criminal investigation will have to precisely determine the exact course of the facts, identify the victims, and identify the people involved, no perpetrator having been, at this stage, identified,” indicated the Arras public prosecutor Sylvain Barbier Sainte Marie. A long investigative process began on the evening of the events and will be based in particular on the use of videos and cell phones, on information from sports clubs, as well as on the various testimonies collected. »

The investigations were entrusted to the research section of the Lille-Villeneuve d’Ascq national gendarmerie.
