The Digos of Modena, coordinated by the Prosecutor’s Office, after an incessant search activity, yesterday, 20 May, led to prison a citizen of Pakistani origins, a member of the Ak 47 Carpi criminal association (for further details on the operation read here: association for crime dedicated to the commission of extortion, personal injury, threats, self-laundering and gangmastering.
The member of the group is being investigated, in complicity, for threats aggravated by the use of weapons, namely a knife and a baseball bat, and for having taken part in the violent brawl that took place in Carpi on the night of 23 April 2022 which involved around thirty people. The suspect is accused of having held the role of “beater” within the criminal group, available for violent actions resulting in punitive expeditions and beatings. The man who escaped the Digos operation on 30 April was tracked down in Carpi and taken to the Modena prison.
