Baník Ostrava Midfielder Ladislav Takács Departs Club as Free Agent

Baník Ostrava announced on its website the first news of the summer regarding the staff. The first player to officially leave the famous club is Ladislav Takács. The 27-year-old midfielder’s contract expires in June and he will leave as a free agent.

“Laco went through a really tough time. He underwent an extremely long convalescence, during which some muscle problems returned, it was certainly not an easy period for his psyche. But he was able to come back and should now be ready to handle everything one hundred percent. We wish him to successfully complete his health marathon and to play regularly again and enjoy football.” said the head of the sports department of FC Baník Ostrava, Luděk Mikloško.

The native of Františkové Lázně was accompanied by great bad luck during his engagement in Baník. Due to an unpleasant injury and a demanding osteotomy of the knee, he was on the field for twenty long months. He returned quite symbolically with a match against Slavia, for which he previously played and from where he came to Bazaly.

In two and a half years at the club, Ladislav Takács played eleven matches for Baník, scoring one goal against Hradec Králové in the previous year’s extension.
