The Occitanie U15s traveled to Tarbes this Saturday for the semi-finals of the championship. An opponent that the Gimontoises largely beat during the regular phase. However, the team fielded by Tarbes for these final phases has nothing to do with the team faced in the regular phase, presenting itself with four players playing in the U15 Elite championship. The Gimontoises were always behind in defense and made numerous mistakes. At half-time, Tarbes had more than twenty points in advance and if the start of the 3rd period saw Gimont return to minus 15, that would not last… Handicapped by numerous mistakes, the Gimontoises lost 85 to 62. The return match at home, this Saturday June 1st, promises to be complicated but there is still hope.
The U15 Region played the final in a match in Verfeil. After a very tight first half, they then collapsed and lost 71 to 55. They therefore finished vice-champions in U15 Region. A deserved result given their performance throughout the season.
The U13 Region hosted Colomiers in the semi-final first leg and suffered a big defeat 48-76 against the team which finished in 1st position in the regular season.
The Occitanie U18s traveled to Nîmes for the penultimate match of the season and lost 41 to 34.
The U9s took part in meetings and showed the progress made.
