Coach Wouter Vrancken Leaves KRC Genk: Club Begins Search for Replacement

At KRC Genk, coach Wouter Vrancken suddenly left during the play-offs. The Limburgers are now looking for a new coach for next season.

KRC Genk started the play-offs well, but suddenly fell through. That was just when coach Wouter Vrancken had announced that he wanted to leave.

Ultimately he left the club because he wanted to embark on a new adventure. That is why Genk is now looking for a worthy replacement.

Besnik Hasi and recently Thorsten Fink have already been put forward as possible successors. The latter is currently coach at rival STVV, but indicated earlier this season that he could leave with a good offer.

But according to transfer expert Sacha Tavolieri, Fink is not the priority at Racing Genk. He reports that Dimitri De Condé already has a number one choice in mind.

It will remain to be seen who will ultimately replace Vrancken at Genk. The club is currently still fighting for a European ticket in the Champions’ Play-offs.
