The relationship between the Detroit Pistons and GM Troy Weaver is nearing its end, Shams Charania and James Edwards of The Athletic report. The separation between the parties will take place following the installation of Trajan Langdon as the new president of basketball operations of the franchise.
Weaver has been GM of the Pistons since June 2020: since his arrival, Detroit has won a total of 74 games in four seasons.
