This is the memory, published on social media, of Roma per Agostino Di Bartolomeihistoric Giallorossi captain and protagonist of the ’83 scudetto but also of a dramatic Champions Cup final against Liverpool (30 May ’84), in 30th anniversary of his passing. To remember him, Di Bartolomei will be the protagonist in Giorgio Porrà’s ‘The Sunday Man’, available on Sky starting from 9 March. “He had great talent, drive and command – said Porrà. He was one of the brains of Roma in the 1983 scudetto. But he was also a man of rare sensitivity: soul armored in a punch. The gaze turned inward to continually investigate one’s anxieties. A human, sporting, gripping and tormented adventure like few others, with that dramatic epilogue.” The midfielder, in fact, committed suicide on the morning of May 30, 1994.
