Croatia coach Zlatko Dalic has announced the list of 26 players called up for the next European Championships in Germany, in which his national team will rival Italy, Spain and Albania in group B. Among the players called up by Dalic are also four ‘Italians’, the defenders Pongracic of Lecce and Erlic of Sassuolo and the midfielders Pasalic of Atalanta and Vlasic of Torino. Also present were former Inter players Brozovic and Perisic and former Juve player Pjaca. These are the Croatia squads: – goalkeepers: Dominik Livakovic (Fenerbahce); Ivica Ivusic (Pafos); Nediljko Labrovic (Rijeka); – defenders: Domagoj Vida (Aek Athens), Josip Juranovic (Union Berlin), Josko Gvardiol (Manchester City), Borna Sosa (Ajax), Josip Stanisic (Bayer Leverkusen), Josip Sutalo (Ajax), Martin Erlic (Sassuolo), Marin Pongracic (Lecce); – midfielders: Luka Modrica (Real Madrid), Mateo Kovacic (Manchester City), Marcelo Brozovic (Al-Nassr), Mario Pasalic (Atalanta), Nikola Vlasic (Turin), Lovro Majer (Wolfsburg), Luka Ivanusec (Feyenoord), Luca Susic (Salzburg), Martin Baturina (Dinamo Zagreb); – forwards: Ivan Perisic (Hajduk), Andrej Kramaric (Hoffenheim), Bruno Petkovic (Dinamo Zagreb), Marko Pjaca (Rijeka), Ante Budimir (Osasuna), Marco Pasalic (Rijeka).
Dalic, like his colleague Rebrov from Ukraine, also announced a list of seven reserves from which to potentially draw in the event of a forfeit or last-minute cancellations. The seven are: – goalkeeper: Dominik Kotarski (Paok Salonika); – defenders: Borna Barisic (Glasgow Rangers), Duje Caleta-Car (Lyon) Niko Kristian Sigur (Hajduk); – midfielders: Kristijan Jakic (Augusta), Toni Fruk (Rijeka), Petar Sucic (Dinamo Zagreb); – forwards: Marin Ljubicic (Lask Linz), Igor Matanovic (Karlsruhe).
