French Junior Archers Compete for Selection to European Championship in Romania

In U18 and U21, the winners of the first round will therefore be galvanized by this objective and will try to keep their leadership position throughout the tournament. Indeed, to qualify for selection for the French team, archers will have to accumulate a maximum of points. This weekend, they will therefore have to make good qualifying shots to hope to win points, but also to establish a big score which would allow them to win bonus points. The final ranking of this competition will be just as essential. In recurve archery, on Sunday from 3:30 p.m. to 4:30 p.m., a tournament including the first eight archers in the tournament (U18 and U21) will be held to decide between the archers. For compound bows, the process will be the same, except for the tournament which they will not have to compete in. Repeated twice during the last round which will take place in Rochefort-sur-Mer in June to get the last necessary points.

Following these last two rounds of the TNJ, all the points will therefore be accumulated and will then make it possible to compose the French team which will fly to Romania in July.

After the Junior Cup in Bulgaria, Maia Tincu (Nîmes), Corentin Charet (Montpellier) and Siham Er’rahmouni (Riom), who arrived first in Sarcelles in their respective category, will have everything to gain in trying to secure their place for this European Championship in Romania. However, there is still a long way to go before wearing the tricolors and the other archers will intend to take advantage of this to reverse the trend and score points.
