Fun. That’s the buzzword for everyone who attends Enjoy Camp – what name could have been better? -, a reality that has been active for nine years to make children’s holidays truly unforgettable.
Leading the team as always are the founders Federico Fumagalli, Simona Pacchetti and Gabriele Donati who, together with a highly qualified staff, built over the years and driven by the passion of (seeing) the children of Varese and the surrounding area grow, also organize for the 2024 the most anticipated and fun summer camp of the summer.
ACTIVITIES FOR ALL AGES, UNTIL THE REOPENING OF SCHOOLS
The format is consolidated and, this year too, it will be spread across three perfect locations for many different activities: the Tc Varese in Casciago, the SmashX3 in Gazzada and the Silvio Pellico School in Varese in collaboration with the VBS – Varese Basket School of Martino Rovera and Marco Passera. «Like every year, we try to provide a service to families in the Varese area – explains Federico Fumagalli on behalf of the whole group – In Casciago and at the former Bellavista we will be open all summer, the camp at Pellico will instead end with the second week of August”.
The activities are different and always varied, as per tradition: «At Pellico and SmashX3 the kids can participate in many moments, while remaining within a very specific range. In Casciago, however, as there are many children, there are also many activities planned and everyone can choose the one they want: the children are already tied up during the school year, between school, sports and various commitments, at least in the summer we try to leave them free to relax and have fun. Of course, let’s never forget the importance we have for families by always providing, in addition to the recreational-sports part, a moment to do homework.”
Among the activities proposed, there will be “Funny English with Katy”: activities in English with a native speaker teacher.
«As always, we try to establish collaborations with many local entities, for example with the Thai Chi la Fenice-Qi Gong association, there will also be an introduction for everyone to judo with Arashi, to archery and to the Ebisu association of oriental arts; we are also defining some moments dedicated to hockey with the Mastini Varese. We offer different experiences to introduce children to lesser-known sports, with activities managed by graduates in physical education. Furthermore, there will be moments linked to psychomotor skills: it is very useful for understanding the outside world in another way, especially for the little ones.”
Another novelty for 2024 will be the cooking workshops in collaboration with the De Filippi institute in Varese: children will try their hand at culinary activities to produce little wonders to enjoy in the evening with their parents.
During the week, from Monday to Thursday, lunches will be served by an external caterer; while on Fridays, during our picnic time, the children can bring lunch from home or rely on one of our sponsors, We Love Tigella by Federico Ligori who will provide his legendary tigelle.
The Enjoy camps welcome children and young people from primary school up to secondary school, but there is also an ad hoc proposal for younger children: «In Casciago we also welcome a group of little ones who we care about a lot, from 4 to 6 years old. For them we thought of a real camp parallel to that of the adults, with many things to do both from a sporting and laboratory point of view, simply in a… “micro” format”.
THE CHILD AT THE CENTRE
Three different locations, therefore, all united by the same imprint and the same objectives: «At the center is the child, we try to give ideas, to teach healthy respect for the rules. It’s playing together, an opportunity to strengthen existing friendships or create new ones, sometimes we underestimate the greatness of this world.”
«Our staff is highly qualified, for me and my members it is a real passion: seeing children who can’t wait to return to Enjoy fills us with pride, we try not to disappoint them and the families who visit us they give trust, sometimes they sign them up sight unseen. Ours is a daily job, we want it to remain special, for us it is always a new adventure!”, concludes Federico Fumagalli, enthusiastic about starting a summer full of fun soon.
