THE RIBBON CUTTING
Big party on Tuesday afternoon for the inauguration of the Archery Training Center, a structure created within the federal Archery centre, in the presence of Luca Pancalli, president of the Paralympic Committee. The construction of the structure including the gym, changing rooms and the catering center has the particularity of being usable by able-bodied and non-able-bodied athletes, and was created thanks to the contribution of 400 thousand euros deriving from water fees. The structure will now also have to be completed with a guesthouse for the construction of which other contributions will be needed.
“You cannot fail to grasp the beauty of this structure – said the president of the Paralympic Committee Luca Pancalli – and it is beautiful how this place can be attractive for that idea of disseminating sport for everyone and everyone that in a place like this it is highly breathable because, when visiting it, everything is much more comfortable and accessible and this means having worked well, with intelligence, but above all it means having worked with that sensitivity that a sports manager must have”.

“It is a beautiful day, despite the rain, because Terni and Umbria are taking a step forward in the structuring of this very important sport – said the regional councilor for Public Works, Enrico Melasecche – we are inaugurating this structure thanks to the water fees, 400 thousand we allocated euros to the rowing federation and 400 thousand euros to the archery federation. I hope – added Melasecche – that there can be the definitive excerpt to complete the centre”.
“I am happy to be in a beautiful and functional place – said the sports councilor of the municipality of Terni, Marco Schenardi – which will give great satisfaction to the city and we hope that it will be attractive for other federations because in our territory we have three federal centers for archery, rowing and table tennis. We are already working on an extension of the agreement because rightly those who want to invest must have the certainty of being able to stay in a certain place for several years”.

I know it wasn’t easy.
