Jakarta

Bologna had a historic season by qualifying for the Liga Champions. Bologna will make every effort to continue this journey together Thiago Motta.

Bologna is certain to appear in the Champions League next season after securing its position in the top five of Serie A 2023/2024. This will be the first time the Rossoblu have appeared in the highest European club competition.

Bologna even has a big chance of finishing third in Serie A this season. They are currently in third place in the Italian League standings with 68 points from 37 matches.

Bologna is ahead on goal difference over Juventus who have the same number of points. They just drew 3-3 against the Bianconeri at the Stadio Renato Dall’Ara, Tuesday (21/5/2024) early morning WIB.

“To be honest I still can’t think we are in the Champions League! We worked very hard, but getting here is the easiest part, staying there will be more difficult. We have all the conditions to continue this journey together,” said Bologna President Joey Saputo.

“I said when I came here that it was very important to get Bologna back to the top, but I knew it would take time and the fans have always been supportive along the way.”

However, Bologna faces uncertainty regarding Thiago Motta’s future. His contract as Bologna coach will end on June 30.

It is widely rumored that Motta will head to Juventus this summer. Saputo said he would negotiate with Motta in the near future.

“We will meet him this week and do everything to continue this journey,” said Saputo.
