“I was pushed aside, I had become transparent”: the exclusive confidences of Hugo Lloris

The sun, the sea and the palm trees remind him of the sweetness of his childhood in Nice, but it is 10,000 kilometers from France and Europe that he regenerates. Since he settled down, with his wife and children, in Encino, in the northwest of Los Angeles, Hugo Lloris has chased away the clouds which had darkened his life as a footballer, after the bitter defeat against the Argentines in the final of 2022 World Cup, in Qatar: a dramatic scenario, which saw the France team escape twice, at the end of regulation time, then in overtime, before losing sharply on penalties (2- 4).

It was a final for history, and it would mark, for the 2018 world champion, the end of his history in blue, but also the end of his history with the London club Tottenham, where he stayed for twelve seasons.
