Men’s doubles coach, Aryono Miranat, doesn’t want the men’s doubles team to lose two points in the Indonesia vs Korea match in the quarter-finals Thomas Cup 2024.

Indonesia will face Korea in the 2024 Thomas Cup quarter-finals. On paper, the doubles sector will be Korea’s main strength.

When Indonesia lost to Korea in the 2022 Asian Games (2023), Indonesia lost two points from the doubles number. Aryono doesn’t want this to happen again.

For this reason, Aryono will try his best to prepare the men’s doubles players so they can talk more in this match.

“Indeed, the Korean team is strong in the doubles and in the team they are really ready. So we will prepare the best pair who are also ready.”

“We can’t lose both, we have to win at least one win in the doubles,” said Aryono in a PBSI release.

Aryono believes that Korean doubles have visible playing characteristics. That is what we will try to anticipate.

“A typical Korean double is the density of play both in defense and attack. Their ball drives are also very good so we have to be aware of that,” said Aryono.

Indonesia brought six doubles players in the 2024 Thomas Cup squad. The six players are Fajar Alfian, Muhammad Rian Ardianto, Bagas Maulana, Muhammad Shohibul Fikri, Leo Rolly Carnando, and Daniel Marthin.
