Gresik (ANTARA) – The Jakarta Livin Mandiri women’s team achieved their first victory after beating defending champion Bandung bjb Tandamata with a score of 3-0 (25-23, 25-23, 25-23) in the opening match of the first series of the second round of the 2024 PLN Mobile Proliga in GOR Tri Dharma, Gresik, East Java, Saturday.
This result is very surprising considering that Livin Mandiri received the title of weak team in the Proliga competition this season after never winning in six matches during the first round.
It was even more surprising because the team coached by Mohammad Ansori was able to win 3-0 and avenge their 1-3 defeat to Bandung bjb Tandamata in the first round.
“The key is to reduce your own mistakes and improve your receiving (receiving the first ball). Today the kids played well, they didn’t make many mistakes in serving, their blocks were also good,” said Jakarta Livin Mandiri Coach Mohammad Ansori after the match.
Apart from that, Ansori also instructed his team to attack through serve and reduce the attacks of two bjb Tandamata foreign players, namely Hanna Davyskiba and Jovana Brakocevic.

“From the evaluation results of the first meeting, their attacks relied a lot on the two foreign players. That’s what we suppressed, apart from Davyskiba, his ball reception was also not that good,” explained Ansori.
Jakarta Livin Mandiri player Naysilla Wiedy Kirana admitted that she was grateful that her team was finally able to win after getting bad results in the second round.
“This can be additional motivation for us to play better. Don’t make too many mistakes yourself, improve your receiving and serving. Today receiving was good so it made it easier for me to organize attacks,” said the player in the setter position.
The Bandung bjb Tandamata match against Livin Mandiri was quite tight and there was always a chase for points from the first to the third set.
