In preparation for the 2024 Municipal System Cadre and Staff Badminton Competition to be held in mid-June, the Kaifeng Water Conservancy Bureau held a badminton trial for the water conservancy system on May 28. The competition included six events: men’s singles, women’s singles, men’s doubles, women’s doubles, mixed doubles and county-level leadership group. A total of more than 40 people from the bureau participated in the competition.
The Party Committee and the Trade Union of the Bureau carefully organized this competition, from formulating plans, coordinating registration to organizing competitions, and providing good logistics support. Everything was well organized and orderly. On the field, the referees were serious and fair in their decisions; the athletes fought bravely and were full of vigor; the staff performed their duties conscientiously and provided enthusiastic services; all events were carried out in an orderly manner with many highlights. The men’s singles players moved swiftly and were able to attack and defend freely; the women’s singles players swung their rackets vigorously and became more and more courageous; the mixed doubles competition was united and cooperative, the atmosphere was warm, and the audience cheered continuously. The whole game was wonderful, with style and level. Yuan Wenjie and Yuan Huimin won the men’s singles and women’s singles titles respectively.
The successful holding of this selection competition fully demonstrated the good spirit of the water conservancy workers in the new era who are brave enough to surpass and dare to fight, and created a positive, enterprising, harmonious and progressive atmosphere. The competition further enriched the amateur cultural and sports life of the employees, demonstrated the spirit of the majority of cadres and employees, better mobilized the enthusiasm of the majority of employees, and provided employees with a platform for training to exchange skills and strengthen their bodies.
