Local Walking Football Team in Lourinhã Gears Up for First Tournament

A local walking football team was created in the municipality of Lourinhã through a partnership between the municipality, the Reguengo Grande Parish Council, the Lisbon Football Association and the Portuguese Football Federation.

This team is made up of people over 50 years of age, of both sexes, and carries out training in the parish of Reguengo Grande, twice a week, in addition to a monthly meeting, without a competitive framework, between the participating municipalities.

The team is guided by José Loureiro, vice-president of the Lisbon Football Association.

In this context, the first tournament of the sport is scheduled for tomorrow, April 6th, which will take place between 9:30 am and 12:30 pm, at the Pavilhão da Casa do Povo da Lourinhã and at the Pavilhão Polidesportivo Municipal.

The event will feature the participation of around 100 athletes, representing the teams from Casa Valdevez, Fundação Benfica, Associação Vale Grande, Parish Council of Reguengo Grande, Municipal Council of Odivelas and Parish Council of Marvila.

Entry to this activity is free, and the organization is in charge of the municipality of Lourinha in collaboration with the Portuguese Football Federation and the Lisbon Football Association.
