We will soon know more about the French football team at the Paris Olympic Games. Coach Thierry Henry will reveal on Monday June 3 a pre-list of players selected for the Bleuets preparation course for the Games, which will begin on June 16 in Clairefontaine. According to our information, and even if the exact number may still change in the coming days, Thierry Henry could retain up to 27 players in this prelist. The final list, which must be communicated before July 3, will include a maximum of 18 players and 4 reserves.
This first announcement will set the trend regarding the possible presence of Kylian Mbappé, candidate for Olympic selection but dependent on the choice of his future club, Real Madrid. The Olympic tournament does not appear on a Fifa date, the clubs have the hand to retain their players and prevent them from participating. Only three players born before January 1, 2001 – this is the case of Mbappé – will be able to participate in the Games.
